If you're wondering why the copy of Jane Eyre is so small, it's because it's one of those adorable "easy to read" thingies, this one is from the early 50's I think. I got it at a flea marked a while ago, because it was so adorable.

I absolutely adore that book as well! That isn't the "proper" version, though. But I have that as well. Besides, I found that one at a flea market and it looked so charming. I'm glad you like the photo.
I understand you If I saw such an old book, especially one of my favourites, I'd buy it without thinking! A flea market seems to me to be a such a romantic place because of all these old things. It's amazing.
I'm quite lucky, as I have a grandmother with tons of really old books. She always lets me pick out a few each time I'm there, so I'm starting to have quite the collection of lovely, old books. I also always buy a couple of books when I go to flea markets, there is always so many books there that no one wants, I just want to buy them all.
I understand you. I also got those old books somewhere in the countryhouse. Also at home we have a huge collection of old books. Everytime I look at them, touch them, inhale this amazing scent I want to take them all, lock myself up in a room and don't go out until I read them all. If you know what I mean. Unfortunately, I don't have enough time for this.
Hah, if it's any comfort, I completely missed what my teacher was saying as well when reading your comment. I think my mind joined you in seeing a victorian era setting, completely with gorgeous dresses.
I spend quite a lot of time in my own personal library (well, technically my bedroom, but there's more books than anything in there, so pah!), and drinking an inhuman amount of tea. In real life, that is. In my mind, still tea. Bigger library.
If I can visit your mind you are free to visit mine I do not know why but the idea of walking around in a big old library with lots and lots of beautiful books with nothing but victorian clothing, is quite a good day dream.
But the idea of the victorian maide uniform is also quite nice
I keep imagining myself in the library from Beauty and the Beast, only with victorian styled clothing with a hint of steampunk. The thought of that alone is enough to give me a bookgasm. To be in a place like that, and not a freezing cold classroom waiting for class to start. *le sigh*
