Good [insert time of the day here], people!

So, I got home from Edinburgh yesterday. I want to go back. Give more men in kilts and awesome castles!

Our hostel was surprisingly nice. In fact, as far as hostels go, it was downright luxurious. At least when I compare it to other hostel's I've been to.
The hostel owner was, well, intense. He was very eager to get to know his guests, he even invited us to join him at a pub pretty much the instant we got there. I'm not the most comfortable person around people like that, but to us he was quite nice. But the hostel itself was gorgeous, with a nice common room with amazingly comfortable couches. The beds in the rooms were comfy as well, and it had bathrooms that weren't in the "let's stuff all the people in one room, no one minds showering with a bunch of strangers" style, they were in fact really nice.
We spent the next couple of days exploring the city on foot. I don't think either of us are the kind of "let's do all the tourist things!" kind of people, so we ended up walking around and finding those places more by accident than anything. I have to say, it's a really beautiful city,I found it lot less intimidating than other big cities I've been to. We ended up spending quite a few hours at Edinburgh Castle, which was really fun and interesting. I think the majority of our photo's were taken there, or of the castle from different angles.

We didn't do much shopping, but I did end up with an awesome and spacious Moomin bag, an adorable Moomin wallet and a thermos. Also Moomin.

The main reason we went to Edinburgh was a concert with "Evelyn, Evelyn", which we saw on Friday. It was absolutely amazing. I've been a fan of Amanda Palmer for ages, so it was really fun and exciting to see her live. Jason Webley was adorable as hell, they make such an adorable pair of siamese twins. The show was adorable, and much fun.

The only downside with the trip was that I got my period and cramps from hell, and then I got a nasty cold, which is still having a party in my body. But despite that, the trip was amazing and I would definitely go back there at some point.
So now I'll get around to posting new things. Hopefully.
tl;dr: Trip was amazing.
